Spring 2010 Rush is here!
Welcome, on behalf of the sisters of Cornell alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc. (αΚΔΦ), to over a week of fun!
As Cornell’s first, and the nation’s largest, most established Asian American interest sorority, our sisters strive to promote sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and Asian American awareness while encouraging the expression of the individual. We are all here for a successful academic career - school is most definitely one of our top priorities. There are immense leadership opportunities within aKDPhi that are extremely beneficial for creating the social and communication skills that are necessary for entering the real world. Many students also complain that their friendships never go beyond college, but here in this organization you will see the strong bonds formed, and friendships that honestly do last a lifetime. It is truly a unique organization that encompasses all of the essentials for a successful and memorable college experience.
There is so much to say about such an amazing organization, I can not give it its due credit in such a short message. This coming week (”rush week”) provides a glimpse of Cornell aKDPhi as a professional organization, as Cornell associates and mentors, and most importantly, as sisters. Contrary to popular belief, there is much more to sorority life than its heavily publicized social side. Becoming a sister of aKDPhi brings many different advantages and experiences that you will hopefully see throughout the week. Keep an open mind, and best of wishes for your first step into a once in a lifetime journey!
Please see our “Rush” section for more information.
